About the role
The position serves as a lead role within the departments working in conjunction with the practice manager. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner licensed by a State regulatory board to refill medication and assist with treatment. Maintains professional accountability for provision during clinic appointments and patient phone calls. Coordinates the patient care, testing, and procedures in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead role within the department in collaboration with the practice manager.
- Provide patient care using the nursing process under the supervision of a licensed physician or nurse practitioner.
- Refill medications and assist with treatment during clinic appointments and patient phone calls.
- Coordinate patient care, testing, and procedures with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Licensed as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the state of practice.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- IV Certification within 1 year of hire.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- Other unit-specific certifications as required.
