Description Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Job Summary Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking God’s wisdom as we search for a Christ following, dynamic, and gifted individual to join our incredible staff. The Primary Academic Interventionist provides preventive academic intervention for students in grades K–2 by delivering systematic, evidence-based literacy and mathematics instruction that strengthens foundational skills before significant learning gaps develop. Working collaboratively with the classroom teacher and the Student Academic Support (SAS) team, the Primary Academic Interventionist provides timely, targeted instruction, monitors student progress, and helps ensure students develop the foundational skills necessary for long-term academic success. Duties And Responsibilities Integrate biblical truth and the Christian philosophy of education into all interactions and instructional practices.Provide targeted academic intervention for students in grades K–2 using systematic, evidence-based literacy and mathematics instructional programs.Deliver small-group and individualized intervention designed to strengthen foundational academic skills and prevent significant learning gaps from developing.Collaborate with classroom teacher and Student Academic Support (SAS) team to identify student needs, coordinate intervention, and support student success.Implement intervention plans and instructional strategies aligned with each student's Student Success Plan (SSP), as appropriate.Monitor student progress using established assessment and progress-monitoring tools and maintains accurate records of student growth.Communicate student progress, concerns, and recommendations with the classroom teacher, SAS team, and parents as appropriate.Maintain a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment that reflects the school's commitment to grace, truth, and love.Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting instructional groups and intervention strategies based on student progress and data.Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, staff devotions, and school events.Uphold and model the school's Statement of Faith, mission, and core values.Supervise students during assigned duties and school activities as requested by administration. Requirements Evidence of a teachable heart, a humble and gentle spirit, and an ability to “correct, rebuke, and encourage” in love.A unifier who “makes every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” while working with others to accomplish our mission.Excellent communication and relational skills with students and adults.Strong desire and demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.Proven commitment to continuous improvement and helping others grow.Classroom training, coursework and/or experience.Working knowledge of best practices and a desire to gain further training in helping students that may have significant learning differences and/or cognitive weaknesses. Experience providing academic intervention or small-group instruction in early literacy and/or mathematics.Training or experience using structured literacy programs (such as UFLI) and/or elementary math intervention programs.Knowledge of child development, executive functioning, and learning differences.ACSI certification or willingness to obtain if required by school policy. Spiritual Qualifications Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Cole Valley Christian Schools.Have a history of faithfully attending and financially supporting a Bible believing church. Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry position.Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2, 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.Strive at all times to understand, appreciate, love, and nurture the students entrusted to employee for instruction, supervision, and/or oversight, and must provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development. Job Data Hours: Part-Time at 28 hours per week.Salary: Starts at $16,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on experience.Benefits: Paid time off and retirement plan.Tuition Discount: 25% discount on tuition. Does not include fees. Start Date: August 4, 2026
