ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS MUST BE UPLOADED AND SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM ON THE SPECIFIED POSTING DEADLINE. Visit the district website: Click kentwoodps/employment.org Kentwood Public Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, genetic information, or any other protected status in its employment decisions or the provision of services." We need to remove boilerplate: "ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS MUST BE UPLOADED AND SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM ON THE SPECIFIED POSTING DEADLINE." appears twice; also "SUBMIT AN APPLICATION..." etc. Also "Visit the district website: Click kentwoodps/employment.org" and EEO statement. We need to keep substantive info: Position title (but we don't repeat as heading). Schedule/Salary info: "38 week position 28 hours per week (7 hours/day, 4 days/week) - $150.43/day 25 hours per week (5 hours/day, 5 days/week) - $107.45/day". That's schedule and pay. So we need sections: Schedule and Pay. Possibly combine? The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have separate Pay and Schedule sections if content exists. We have both schedule and pay details. So we can create Schedule section with the schedule info (38 week position, hours per week etc). Pay section with daily rates. But note: The schedule includes weeks per year (38 week position). That's schedule. Pay includes daily rates. We also have "Essential Job Functions" which is responsibilities. So Responsibilities section. We have "Knowledge, Skills & Abilities" which is Skills section. We have "Qualifications:" which is Qualifications section. We have "Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards: Ada Requirements:" maybe could be part of Requirements? But the instruction says we can have Requirements section. Could include physical demands etc. However we need to decide if we want a Requirements section. The posting includes "Qualifications:" separate. There's also "Knowledge, Skills & Abilities". There's also "Physical and Mental Demands". Could treat that as Requirements (maybe). But we should avoid thin sections. We could combine physical demands into Requirements or maybe omit if not substantive? It is substantive. Could create a Requirements section that includes physical demands, mental functions, work environment, FLSA status. However the instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could have sections: Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Pay, Schedule. Possibly also Requirements if we have enough content. But we already have Qualifications and Skills; Requirements may overlap. Might be better to have Requirements include physical demands etc. But we already have Qualifications (education/experience) and Skills (abilities). The physical demands could be considered Requirements as well. However we can also omit Requirements section if we think it's too thin? But we have details: Physical Demands list, Work Environment, Mental Functions, FLSA. That's enough for a Requirements section. Thus we can have sections: Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Requirements, Pay, Schedule. We must not include About the role, Benefits unless present. No benefits mentioned. We must not repeat job title as heading. We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers. We must preserve all substantive info. We need to format lists with
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So for Responsibilities we need to turn the essential job functions into list items. Also Additional Duties, Equipment, Travel Requirements maybe also list? Those are also duties. Could incorporate into Responsibilities list. We need to parse the responsibilities text: It starts with "Essential Job Functions Assists and guides students..." then a long sentence with many items separated by periods. We need to split into list items. Also "Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent." That's another duty. "Equipment: Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers." That's also a duty? Could be under Responsibilities or maybe separate but we can include as list item. "Travel Requirements: Travel between schools, or between schools and central offices, may be required for certain positions." Also list item. Thus we can create a
      with each duty as
    • . For Qualifications: list items: "A minimum of 90 college credits from an accredited college or university, required." (note typo "or" but we keep as is). "Bachelor’s degree preferred." "Valid Michigan teacher’s certificate preferred." "Experience working with students with diverse learning needs" "An understanding of working with content standards or willingness to learn." "Able to demonstrate understanding of curriculum development processes." "Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and administration." "Ability to support general education instructional staff." We need to preserve exactly as written? Probably keep the phrases. For Skills: list items from "Knowledge, Skills & Abilities": each ability sentence. We need to split them: "Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form." "Ability to work in an economically, culturally and racially diverse environment." "Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed to assist students." "Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel)." "Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others." "Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with special needs." "Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work." "Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required." "Effective writing and verbal communication skills." Note the last one is not prefixed with "Ability to". Keep as is. For Requirements: we have Physical Demands, Work Environment, Mental Functions, FLSA. Could list each as items. Physical Demands: list of actions: stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear (in a quiet or noisy environment), taste and smell. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust/focus. Work Environment: noise level usually loud to moderate. Mental Functions: compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate. FLSA: Non-exempt. We could also include "Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions." as part of Requirements. Thus we can create a
for Requirements. Pay section: we have two schedule options with daily rates. Could present as
with each option. Schedule section: we have
