Priest Sacramental Minister - Spiritual Care
About the role
The Priest Sacramental Minister provides pastoral ministry to Catholic patients and their families. They lead associates in addressing the needs of Catholic patients and address the spiritual needs of the organization through worship, sacraments, and religious rituals. They are directly responsible for implementing the Mission and Values and leading the implementation of policies and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral care to Catholic patients and their families.
- Lead associates in addressing the spiritual and pastoral needs of the organization.
- Implement the Mission and Values of the department.
- Lead the implementation of policies and procedures related to the Department of Spiritual Health Services.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or the equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution.
- Certificate in Pastoral Care and Counseling from an accredited program.
- One year of Pastoral experience in a healthcare facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: 1 Unit—Accredited or approved by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), by programs that were accredited by the former United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation (USCCB/CCA), or the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS).
- One year of Pastoral experience in a healthcare facility.
