Job Summary
The Pricing Strategy Analyst will play a critical role in developing pricing strategies, evaluating new business opportunities, and supporting executive decision-making across a growing portfolio of products and services. This role blends business strategy, financial modeling, data analytics, and AI-assisted productivity to help identify opportunities that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and long-term enterprise value. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building business cases, analyzing large datasets, creating executive-ready presentations, and leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic business cases supporting new products, pricing initiatives, promotional offers, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Build financial models and conduct scenario analysis to evaluate market opportunities, forecast business impact, and estimate ROI for strategic initiatives.
- Analyze pricing performance, promotional effectiveness, and competitive positioning across products and customer segments.
- Utilize SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and existing reporting assets to gather, analyze, and visualize business performance data.
- Develop new dashboards, reports, and executive presentations that translate complex analysis into actionable business recommendations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Analytics teams to define business requirements and prioritize strategic initiatives.
- Support pricing tests, experiments, and optimization efforts, including test design, measurement frameworks, post-launch analysis, and recommendation development.
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and similar technologies to improve research, automate analysis, accelerate content development, and increase productivity.
- Evaluate customer behavior, pricing elasticity, promotional performance, and acquisition trends to support data-driven decision making.
- Build dashboards, reports, and recurring performance views that help stakeholders monitor key pricing, revenue, margin, and customer metrics.
- Present findings and recommendations to business leaders through concise, executive-level storytelling and visualizations.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, analytical workflows, and business decision-making capabilities.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, or related field preferred. MBA (would be a plus).
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in pricing, strategy, business analysis, consulting, financial analysis, product strategy, or analytics. Experience developing business cases, financial models, and executive presentations. Experience supporting pricing, acquisition, product, or commercial strategy initiatives. Experience working cross-functionally within fast-paced, data-driven organizations.
- Pluses: Experience with pricing experimentation, elasticity analysis, customer segmentation, promotional analysis, or revenue optimization. Experience in subscription, media, telecom, technology, consumer services, or other recurring-revenue businesses.
Skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytical findings to strategic recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Experience using Power BI and/or Tableau to build dashboards and executive reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses for executive audiences.
- Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leveraging AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies within a business environment to improve analysis, forecasting, pricing optimization, or business processes.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives while working independently in a collaborative environment.
