Preventive Maintenance Technician (West Palm Beach, FL)

About the role

Perform preventive maintenance service, inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment at external or Hiab locations in line with Manager's instructions. Contribute to productive customer relationships and follow Best Practices in all administrative and technical activities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report findings, initiate quotes, and conduct service or repair on equipment such as Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders, and Hoists as instructed by District Service Manager.
• Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards.
• Stay up to date with technical developments via internal service bulletins and follow technical courses when instructed.
• Follow applicable safety rules, working practices, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct yourself in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and adhere to the Quality System rules.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate them to the District Service Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card (required).
• Valid Driver’s License (required).
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two-year time frame (all violations will be reviewed).
• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• 100% travel required.
