About the role

To perform preventive maintenance service, preventive maintenance inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment at external or Hiab locations in line with Managers instructions. Responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships, as well as following Best Practices in all administrative and technical activities.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, report findings, initiate quote based on findings, and then conduct service or repair on equipment, such as Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders and Hoists, as instructed by District Service Manager
  • Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards
  • Stay up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and follow technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager applicable to equipment
  • Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
  • Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System
  • Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two-year time frame (all violations will be reviewed)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience
  • Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
