About the role

Join the team that lifts the heavy stuff at Crane Services, Inc. (CSI), one of the largest and most experienced cranes and rigging companies in North America. We tackle tough jobs across the Rocky Mountains, Southwest, and Midwest. This is a field-based, customer-facing role requiring excellent technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, differentials, air systems, etc.)
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend repairs or replacements
  • Document service work, inspections, and maintenance records accurately
  • Follow all company safety protocols and industry best practices
  • Communicate effectively about service results, equipment status, and recommendations
  • Use tools, diagnostic equipment, and service software effectively
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards
  • Work closely with service manager, service foreman, and teammates
  • Use technology to complete reports on an iPad or computer for schematics
  • Participate in ongoing training and cross-training; assist others where needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus
  • 1+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, service, or a related field
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems depending on industry
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to become Federal Inspector and Brake Inspector qualified upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE Certification
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Familiarity with OSHA 10 safety standards
  • CDL preferred
  • Knowledge of JSAs, JSOs, and Lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures

Pay

$28–$32 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Schedule

Field-based role with required travel to job sites and crane locations.

Working conditions

  • May be required to wear appropriate PPE
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles
  • Moderate noise level in the workplace

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Work in various environments, including outdoor or confined spaces
