Preventive Maintenance Handyman
About the role
The team at Margaritaville Lake Resort is here to create and deliver fun and escapism for our guests, and that relies on everything working well! With good pay, extensive benefits, and a family atmosphere, we are looking for an individual to join the existing Preventative Maintenance team to service a variety of areas of within the resort.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining hotel guest rooms, meeting space, public / back of house areas, performing minor and routine maintenance activities as assigned on a routine checklist.
- Maintain standards of quality guest service.
- Scrupulously adhere to all safety standards.
- Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.
- Promptly respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
- Absorb and track all performed maintenance assignments with supervisors.
Qualifications
- Personal Skills: Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Ability to accurately report information. Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures. Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times. Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission. Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Actively listens to others.
- Physical Requirements: Minimum lifting/pulling of 50 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity. Hearing and writing.
