Preventative Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment including air handers, RTU’s chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and split systems.
• Inspect and replace filters, belts, and other consumable items as required.
• Clean cooling towers.
• Lubricate motors, bearings, and other moving parts.
• Check system performance and functionality; report abnormalities or repair needs.
• Clean condenser and evaporator coils, drain lines, and pans.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members.
• Aid in basic troubleshooting; escalate complex issues as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• HVAC certification (e.g. EPA 608 universal).
• Two years of experience in HVAC maintenance or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, tools, and safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Basic troubleshooting ability.
