PM Technician Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
  • Explain the work done, review the safety evaluation, activity reports, maintenance checklist and related topics.
  • Provide onsite training to customers for operation and/or maintenance of machines.
  • Execute PM on TRUMPF CNC machines (laser-cutting, punching, press-brake and laser-punch combination) in accordance with checklists and TRUMPF guidelines.
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds without aid.
  • Work carefully with the Product Support for technical assistance and provide them with diagnostic feedback.
  • Work together with PM scheduler in respect of planning and scheduling missions.
  • Flexible / adaptable attitude regarding last minute changes to schedule and mission.
  • Submit organized and helpful mission reports within a day after completing the mission.
  • Accurately report technical conditions and information.
  • Submit required expense reports in a complete and organized manner at the latest the week after the credit card charges occur.
  • Support further development of the PM-Group (e.g., provides ideas to increase efficiency / quality of our PM missions, updating / correcting PM checklists).
  • Choose the most economical way to travel (flying vs. traveling by car), organized by our Travel Agency.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful.
  • Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and record.
