Job Duties & Essential Functions
- Maintain safe working habits by following established OSHA and company safety practices and policies (IE: LOTO, GMP, ARC Flash, Proper PPE practices, Housekeeping).
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure machinery operates within compliance standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedules.
- Replace worn or defective parts before failure occurs (e.g., belts, bearings, filters).
- Document all PM activities, findings, and parts usage in the computerized maintenance management system (RedZone Maintenance).
- Identify and report potential issues or equipment trends to supervisors.
- Perform repairs and adjustments as needed to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required; technical certification or degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in preventive or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
- Skilled in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Familiar with PM procedures, CMMS software, and maintenance tools.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be 18 years or older and supply own basic toolset.
