Preventative Maintenance Technician

About the role

Stryten Energy is recruiting a Preventative Maintenance Technician at their Kansas City, Kansas location.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all plant-wide machinery.
• Work in a team environment to accomplish preventative maintenance projects.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health, and safety issues, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
• Handle scrap materials and disposable protective clothing containing lead which requires proper disposal as hazardous waste.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass maintenance assessment.
• An AA degree in mechanical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and industrial skills.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds consistently.

Pay

$31.52 per hour.

Schedule

5 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday, some Saturdays.
