About the role
Rogers Group is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to service construction equipment across the Roanoke area.
Responsibilities
- Perform PM duties, along with routine maintenance and light repairs on a wide variety of aggregate/mining equipment.
- Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
- Plan maintenance in a coordinated method that doesn’t interfere with production schedule.
- Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
- Familiarize with heavy equipment parts including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost.
- Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
- Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
- Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
- Able to stoop, push, kneel, twist, lift up to 70lbs, climb, and perform work at heights of 20 feet.
- Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
- Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
Qualifications
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and ability to perform all duties under company safety policies and practices.
- Valid DOT health card or ability to obtain.
- Minimum of three years of experience working on equipment.
- Ability to change oil, change filters, take oil samples, complete sample documentation, and submit for analysis.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
- Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
- Able to stoop, push, kneel, twist, lift up to 70lbs, climb, and perform work at heights of 20 feet.
- Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
- Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.

Pay
Starting wages based on experience.
Schedule
Full-time day shift with approximate shift times of 7am to 5pm.
