About the role

Rogers Group is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to service construction equipment across the Roanoke area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PM duties, along with routine maintenance and light repairs on a wide variety of aggregate/mining equipment.
  • Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
  • Plan maintenance in a coordinated method that doesn’t interfere with production schedule.
  • Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
  • Familiarize with heavy equipment parts including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost.
  • Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
  • Able to stoop, push, kneel, twist, lift up to 70lbs, climb, and perform work at heights of 20 feet.
  • Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and ability to perform all duties under company safety policies and practices.
  • Valid DOT health card or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working on equipment.
  • Ability to change oil, change filters, take oil samples, complete sample documentation, and submit for analysis.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
  • Able to stoop, push, kneel, twist, lift up to 70lbs, climb, and perform work at heights of 20 feet.
  • Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.

Pay

Starting wages based on experience.

Schedule
