Preventative Maintenance Equipment Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Schedule preventative maintenance to assure facilities meet customer and production requirements.
• Recognize process flaws and recommend corrective action.
• Observe and listen to operating machines, including transfer presses or equipment, to diagnose malfunctions and determine need for adjustment and repair.
• Confer with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining, assembly, or production problems.
• Instruct and coach operators on the safe and productive operation of equipment.
• Report problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances to the Group Leader.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjust machine controls or control media as required.
• Plan, direct, and organize systems to achieve company goals in:
  • Production output and efficiencies
  • Continuous Quality Improvement and Total Quality Management
  • Service, production, and management needs
  • Compliance with all mandated regulations, including environmental and safety
  • Housekeeping, presentation, and maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment
• Organize and coordinate projects and duties to be performed.
• Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes.
• Complete documentation for machinery usage and equipment maintenance.
• Investigate on-site conditions pertaining to work needed.
• Work with the manufacturing tool room team regarding issues related to various projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
