Responsibilities
- Schedule preventative maintenance to assure facilities meet customer and production requirements.
- Recognize process flaws and recommend corrective action.
- Observe and listen to operating machines, including transfer presses or equipment, to diagnose malfunctions and determine need for adjustment and repair.
- Confer with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining, assembly, or production problems.
- Instruct and coach operators on the safe and productive operation of equipment.
- Report problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances to the Group Leader.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjust machine controls or control media as required.
- Plan, direct, and organize systems to achieve company goals in:
- Production output and efficiencies
- Continuous Quality Improvement and Total Quality Management
- Service, production, and management needs
- Compliance with all mandated regulations, including environmental and safety
- Housekeeping, presentation, and maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment
- Organize and coordinate projects and duties to be performed.
- Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes.
- Complete documentation for machinery usage and equipment maintenance.
- Investigate on-site conditions pertaining to work needed.
- Work with the manufacturing tool room team regarding issues related to various projects.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
