About the role

This position supports projects requiring certified payroll and prevailing wages within the company, focusing on federal, state, and local government compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, compile, and complete documents for submission to various agencies.
  • Process certified payroll reports weekly and submit to general contractors, owners, or Customer Service Specialist, as necessary.
  • Enter certified reports and necessary compliance information into required online portals.
  • Ensure company compliance with all DOL, prevailing wage requirements; educate project personnel and employees on same as needed.
  • Establish relationships and provide guidance with project managers, lead personnel, general contractor, and owner personnel to facilitate successful project completion.
  • Initiate and maintain new certified jobs in the ERP system.
  • Review necessary contracts for compliance requirements.
  • Review certified payrolls on all prevailing wage/compliance reporting projects.
  • Track apprenticeship to journeymen ratios.
  • Communicate and follow-up with subcontractor reporting requirements.
  • Research and determine the correct rates applicable to projects.
  • Create and maintain all rate agreements for new/existing prevailing wage projects.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma/equivalent is required.
  • Construction experience is preferred.
  • An understanding of contracts with Davis-Bacon Act/prevailing wage/certified payroll/compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with field staff, office staff, managers, and outside vendors/customers.
  • A positive safety attitude and personal integrity are non-negotiable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and advanced typing skills for data entry.
  • Experience with ADP and IFS is preferred.
  • Capable of maintaining important information confidential - extremely important for this role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A strong capacity for detail and multitasking.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Able to prioritize and organize work to ensure follow-through.

Physical Requirements

Office environment, requiring sitting and standing and extended amounts of time using a computer/keyboard at a single workstation.
