Pretreatment Compliance Technician

In this role, you'll support the City’s environmental compliance programs by inspecting facilities, reviewing compliance reports, verifying data, and identifying violations of local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities to determine compliance with pretreatment standards.
• Review compliance reports and verify submitted information.
• Identify non-compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
• Collect water, sewage, sludge, and industrial waste samples.
• Perform field tests for pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), conductivity, and temperature.
• Act as field technician for water quality monitoring.
• Install and remove wastewater composite and discrete sampling equipment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of pretreatment regulations, sampling techniques, and field-testing procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply environmental laws and compliance standards.
• Experience with water or wastewater sampling and analysis preferred.

Pay

Annual salary range: $63,723.00 – $80,193.00.
