About the role

The Presumptive Eligibility Coordinator position (K0245084) serves as the coordinator for the Presumptive Eligibility Program. This role plans, manages, and coordinates the onboarding and training of new PE entities, providing instructions and guidance to facilitate accurate and timely determinations. The coordinator collaborates with KEES, KMMS, the Clearinghouse, and other entities to ensure the smooth operation of the PE program. Additionally, the position monitors and tracks performance measures for each PE entity, provides feedback to the entities and KDHE program staff regarding performance outcomes, and initiates or recommends corrective action for individual entities.

Responsibilities

  • Makes sure to monitor and track performance measures for each PE Entity.
  • Provides feedback to the PE entities and KDHE program staff regarding performance outcomes of the entities.
  • Initiates and recommends corrective action for individual entities.
  • Provides general program support – for example, provide Input on policy and processes as well as participating in unit meetings.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School, GED
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
  • Analytical Skills
  • Experience using the Kansas Eligibility Enforcement System
  • Verbal Communication
  • Public Speaking
  • Ability to provide clear directions
  • Organization skills
  • One year’s experience with Kansas Medicaid
  • Ability to adapt communication to the audience

Compensation

Compensation: Hourly Pay Range: $20.33 - $23.54. * Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications.
