About the role
The Press Operator operates Form department presses and equipment in a productive manner to produce precision parts. Understand dimensions and tolerances. Perform interval quality checks on parts produced and document on appropriate paperwork.
Essential Functions
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions from Lead, Set-up personnel, traveler, or other company documentation.
- Operate various manual, pneumatic, electric and hydraulic presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, or other materials used in manufacturing operations.
- Perform forming, cutting, drilling, bending, and punching operations to blueprint specifications.
- Use various measuring equipment such as height gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify part dimensions.
- Document measurements, counts, etc. on company paperwork/graphs.
- Able to handle delicate parts and using tweezers.
- Identify imperfections and out of spec conditions based on documented acceptance criteria.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm and Second shift days and hours are Monday through Friday, 3:30pm to 12:00am. Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.

Salary Range
Most new hires can expect to start around $17.50/hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
