Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Canon iX 3200, HP Series 3 and 4 digital presses.
- Operate casing-in devices and other finishing equipment as assigned.
- Ensure orders are produced accurately and within established production timelines.
- Maintain high output without compromising product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Keep machines and work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and 5S standards.
- Follow daily production plans provided by supervisors.
- Assist in training new or less experienced operators.
- Take on additional equipment responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in print manufacturing operations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing and print equipment.
- Strong attention to quality and detail.
- Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for machine interface and order tracking.
- Good listening and verbal communication skills.
- Strong physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Time management and ability to follow production schedules.
- Ability to read and interpret job instructions and specifications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
About the role
RPI, a global leader in print-on-demand, is seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Canon iX 3200 inkjet and HP Series 3 presses to produce high-quality, high-output books and card products. This full-time role also includes general bindery duties as needed and requires flexibility in work hours, including overtime and weekend shifts during peak seasons.
