Press Operator/Assembler

About the role

This role involves operating and tending machinery to cut, shape, and process metal or plastic materials according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Setting up machines, adjusting speeds and actions, and monitoring operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Examining finished work for defects, measuring pieces to verify conformance, and sorting defective items
• Reading work orders, positioning fixtures, and securing workpieces to ensure precise processing
• Recording operational data and making adjustments as needed to meet product requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in machine operation and setup
• Ability to measure and inspect workpieces accurately
• Knowledge of working with gauges, calipers, and hand tools
• Understanding of production schedules and work orders
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
