Capabilities

• Stamping: Hot and conventional stamping (100–800 tons), automotive & industrial metals, multi-location facilities for high-volume production
• Laser Cutting: Multi-axis laser systems for prototyping & production, flat and 3D part cutting, trimming, and hole piercing, versatile with various metals and thicknesses
• Welding & Assembly: Spot welding for Ultra High Strength Steel & press-hardened parts, highly automated robotic cells for precision and efficiency, focused on quality, speed, and cost reduction

Schedule

2nd Shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday with overtime and weekends based on business needs.

About the Role

Operate automatic or semi-automatic machines or machine tools to shape and form metal products or parts. Be responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining presses and tools. Ensure the quality production of assigned jobs at expected production levels.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate presses that may be mechanically or computer driven to produce parts.
• Perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, forming, etc. on a variety of materials, based on blueprints and other instructions.
• Follow the control plan and perform in-process inspection.
• Perform and document required visual and physical quality inspections as indicated by the Control Plan.
• Read, interpret, and comply with production work orders.
• Configure equipment, calibrate gauge settings, recognize condition of dies, load materials onto the equipment, feed material through die, and position and remove parts from the die.
• Ensure proper completion of daily paperwork and use computers for data entry in a specified and appropriate manner.
• Correctly identify and handle non-conforming products.
• Handle scrap during and after production.
• Handle finished products and corresponding documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, oiling, and lubricating machines.
• Check machine operation and report faults to leader/supervisor.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
• Assist in the training of other employees as indicated.
• Participate in continuous improvement and assist in its implementation on an ongoing basis.
• Keep work area clean and well organized in a 5S manner.
• Maintain safety standards in the workplace.
• Ensure quality in the workplace.

Note: Due to the type of machinery, the plant will have high temperatures with high humidity.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Walking and standing for long periods throughout the day.
• Lifting up to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Stooping, bending, and twisting on occasion.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Standard 40-hour weeks, with overtime as workload dictates.

Work performed in an office and shop environment. Requires wearing personal protective or safety equipment. Involves working in a non-air-conditioned, variable-temperature factory setting exposed to hot and cold temperatures. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
