Press Helper - 3rd Shift

About the role

Vericast is a financial institution performance partner that helps banks and credit unions drive growth, improve efficiency, increase engagement, and navigate change through advanced analytics, data-driven insights, and integrated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of web presses and ensure smooth production flow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized press area.
• Cook with internal teams to ensure materials like ink, paper, and plates are ready to go.
• Absorb quality checks — inspecting printed materials for accuracy in color, registration, and specifications every 15 minutes.
• Step in to run the press when the operator is on breaks, lunches, or PTO.
• Aid in setup and maintenance tasks such as washing blankets, plates, and fountains.
• Prepare and load roll stock for printing and inspect rolls for defects.
• Accurately record production data, materials used, and downtime.
• Perform light preventive maintenance and keep equipment ready for the next run.
• Safely move materials and finished products (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
• Participate in training and cross-training opportunities to expand your skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate press without supervision
• 3+ years prior production machine operating experience
• Must be able to identify colors and imperfections
• Must display excellent work habits, willingness to be a team player
• Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement
• Strong analytical skills, independent thinking, and written and verbal communications skills
