About the role
Precision Press, a division of Taylor Corporation, is looking for a Production Assembly and Support team member in our North Mankato, MN facility. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Perform various hand operations such as applying labels to products, cutting, wrapping products, using tape dispensers, and operating foot controls
- Pack products in boxes, tape lids shut for proper shipping, and inspect product for quality defects
- Stack, pack, and transport printed materials in various stages of completion on pallets
- Read and follow specific job instructions to produce orders according to specifications
- Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines and work constructively with co-workers, supervisors, and vendors
- Float across departments and assist where needed
- Follow safety rules, procedures, and standards
- Perform duties while standing, occasionally seated
- Operate base equipment as needed
General examples of roles: Crater/Packer II, Light Assembler II, Folder Operator Assistant, Floor Assembler II, General Laborer, Sr., Electronics Assembler I, Precision Assembler I.
Requirements
- Ability to read, interpret, and decipher written instructions from documents such as work orders, safety regulations, and operating procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees
- Perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Work in an environment with regular exposure to printing inks, solvents, and chemicals; follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods
- Operate machinery and handle products, including print materials
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry)
Schedule
Wednesday - Friday with every other Saturday, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Pay
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17 - $19. The actual base pay offered depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
