About the role
Cadrex is seeking experienced Press Brake Set-Up professionals at the Level I and Level II levels. The Set-Up team is crucial for ensuring efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust press brake machines, tooling, and processes to produce quality parts.
- Install, change, align, and adjust tooling based on job requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Set up jobs to meet required angles, dimensions, tolerances, and production specifications.
- Operate press brake equipment as needed to verify setups and produce parts.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, and other inspection equipment.
- Complete first-piece and periodic inspections to verify product quality.
- Make minor machine and process adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and process issues.
- Clear machine alarms and identify conditions requiring maintenance support.
- Ensure materials, tooling, and packaging are available and ready for production.
- Maintain accurate and timely production and quality documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of machine guards, laser guards, and other required safety equipment.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, productivity, and scrap reduction.
- Aid in the transition between scheduled jobs.
- Perform Press Brake Operator duties when needed.
Requirements
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous press brake, machine operating, fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with machine setup and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to make minor machine adjustments and clear alarms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to take initiative and identify tasks that need to be completed without constant direction.
- EDUCATION:
- A high school diploma.
