About the role

Cadrex is seeking experienced Press Brake Set-Up professionals at the Level I and Level II levels. The Set-Up team is crucial for ensuring efficient production.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust press brake machines, tooling, and processes to produce quality parts.
  • Install, change, align, and adjust tooling based on job requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Set up jobs to meet required angles, dimensions, tolerances, and production specifications.
  • Operate press brake equipment as needed to verify setups and produce parts.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, and other inspection equipment.
  • Complete first-piece and periodic inspections to verify product quality.
  • Make minor machine and process adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and process issues.
  • Clear machine alarms and identify conditions requiring maintenance support.
  • Ensure materials, tooling, and packaging are available and ready for production.
  • Maintain accurate and timely production and quality documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of machine guards, laser guards, and other required safety equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, productivity, and scrap reduction.
  • Aid in the transition between scheduled jobs.
  • Perform Press Brake Operator duties when needed.

Requirements

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Previous press brake, machine operating, fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing experience.
    • Experience with machine setup and tooling.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Ability to make minor machine adjustments and clear alarms.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to take initiative and identify tasks that need to be completed without constant direction.
  • EDUCATION:
    • A high school diploma.
