About the role

Cadrex is seeking experienced Press Brake Set-Up professionals at the Level I and Level II levels to join our team. The Set-Up team is crucial for ensuring efficient production.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust press brake machines, tooling, and processes to produce quality parts meeting customer specifications.
  • Work closely with Press Brake Operators, Quality, and leadership to ensure jobs are set up correctly, quality standards are met, and production stays on schedule.
  • Operate press brake equipment to verify setups and produce parts.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, and others to inspect parts.
  • Complete first-piece and periodic inspections to verify product quality.
  • Make minor machine and process adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and process issues.
  • Clear machine alarms and identify conditions requiring maintenance support.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of machine guards, laser guards, and other required safety equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, productivity, and scrap reduction.
  • Aid in transitioning between scheduled jobs.
  • Perform Press Brake Operator duties when needed.

Requirements

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Previous press brake, machine operating, fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Experience with machine setup and tooling preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Ability to make minor machine adjustments and clear alarms.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to take initiative and identify tasks that need to be completed without constant direction.
  • EDUCATION:
    • A high school diploma.

Qualifications

  • Previous press brake setup experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently set up press brake machines and processes to specifications.
  • Strong understanding of press brake tooling, machine operation, and the forming process.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot setup, tooling, machine, and process issues.
  • Ability to make adjustments to achieve required dimensions and quality standards.
  • Consistently produce operator-ready setups with minimal adjustment and scrap.
  • Ability to use computers and production systems as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to train and assist operators.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay

$2,500 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

M-Th; 5:45am - 4:15pm.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate machinery and handle materials.
  • Climb, kneel, crouch, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift and/or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Work around moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • Exposure to moderate to occasionally loud noise levels.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
