Press Brake Operator (day & afternoon shifts available)

About the role

Laser North, a laser cutting and fabrication specialist, seeks Press Brake Operators to join their team in Baraga, Michigan. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for effective operation of CNC Press Brakes to ensure quality product is safely produced in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting prints and instructions.
• Creating and editing simple and complex bend programs.
• Forming various components from carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Performing part inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Handling materials with a forklift.
• Daily communication with supervisors/managers.

Requirements

• Self-motivation and excellent work ethic.
• Previous manufacturing or industrial-related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand prints or instructions.
• Ability to independently handle parts up to 50 lbs. for long periods of time.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to balance a sense of urgency while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ability to follow business rules and guidelines, safe work practices, and proper lifting techniques.

Pay

$20.00 – $26.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

Schedule

• Day shift: Monday – Thursday 5am – 2:30pm; Friday 5am – 9am.
• Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday 2:30pm – 12:30am.
