About the role
Set up and run a press brake according to programs and preset parameters. Operate a state-of-the-art Amada Press Brake with automatic tool changer (ATC). Check quality of machined product and notify supervisor of process issues.
Responsibilities
- Review program and select correct raw material.
- Monitor performance and make appropriate operator-level adjustments as required.
- Perform operator-level maintenance daily and as scheduled.
- Maintain proper documentation required for production and maintenance.
- Inspect and perform final cleanup of parts as needed.
- Continuously maintain an exceptionally clean and organized work area.
- Assist in other areas of the metal prep department as needed.
- Assist maintenance department with scheduled maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Use measuring equipment: tape measure and micrometer.
- Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
- Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
- Follow company policy and standards.
- Operate forklifts and hoists.
- Keep work centers clean and orderly.
- Take and follow directives.
Requirements
- 1+ years of fabrication or manufacturing experience.
- 1+ years of press brake operation experience.
Desired Qualities
- Ability to work and function as a team.
- Self-motivated and can work without much supervision.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal).
- Strong blueprint reading skills with attention to detail.
- Safety-minded and prioritizes safety while performing job duties.
- Strong attendance record.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Pay
$26.00 per hour
Schedule
Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
