Press Brake Operator - 2nd Shift

Position Summary The basic function of the Press Brake operator is to set up and operate forming machines to fabricate parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Analyze work orders, work pieces, and blueprints. Set up and operate machines as required to manufacture parts. Check parts throughout production run, using company supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability of process. Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications and blue prints by use of appropriate measuring devices. Accurately fill out work order routers with correct quantity of good parts and scrap parts. Education And/or Experience Preferred: Two year degree and/or equivalent experience Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Physical Demands Include Sitting, standing, and walking. Use of hands and arms to operate equipment; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds with assistance. Being able to see (20/25 vision with or without glasses) and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations. Work Environment This person will work in a manufacturing environment which is temperature controlled. The person will be working near moving mechanical parts. This setting involves manufacturing equipment with others working in close proximity. Supervisory Responsibilities None
