Responsibilities
- Aid the Press Operator in meeting production, quality, and safety objectives.
- Inspect materials and products for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assist the Press Operator with product changeovers and prepare components for subsequent runs.
- Keep the machine and surrounding area clean and organized.
- Tend to rolls and support corporate programs such as 5S, ISO, SMED, Preventive Maintenance, Sustainability, and GMP.
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines, including reporting unsafe conditions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow schedules, written instructions, and job tickets.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Pleasant demeanor and cooperative attitude.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to see details at close range to identify defects or quality issues.
- Ability to distinguish between colors, including shades and brightness.
- Use hands and arms to handle, position, and move materials.
- Physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
