President, Property
About the Role
The President, under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, directs property operations within the company’s strategic planning and policy framework. This role oversees operating entities to ensure successful implementation of corporate business policies, goals, and objectives, while providing input and support in strategic and policy formulation. The President drives operational efficiency, revenue growth, and profitability while fostering guest relations and mentoring team members to deliver superior service.
Responsibilities
- Creates an atmosphere that attracts and retains guests, positioning Hard Rock Tejon as a premier gaming entertainment destination.
- Hires, motivates, evaluates, and directs property leadership to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Develops operating entities, personnel, products/services, and market resources to achieve short- and long-term goals.
- Interprets company policies and establishes strategic management and operating plans for assigned entities.
- Provides consistent leadership to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Participates in property expansion and strategic growth planning.
- Implements innovative business plans to develop existing and potential business units.
- Serves as the key business liaison to the Tejon Indian Tribe Chairman and Council.
- Provides strategic insights and direction to the COO regarding operations, opportunities, and growth.
- Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up tasks as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of progressively responsible gaming management experience, including at least 2 years as a General Manager, or 10 years of gaming operations experience combined with 10 years of executive-level management.
- Must obtain and maintain all required federal and state licenses/certifications.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Prior experience opening new properties or outlets is strongly preferred.

- Proficiency in office procedures, methods, and equipment, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of supervision, training, and performance evaluation principles.
- Familiarity with pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to research, analyze, and act on business information while staying aware of the economic environment.
- Strong financial acumen, including the ability to review and comprehend financial data and internal reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with guests, external contacts, and team members at all levels.
- Capacity to make strategic, ethical, and difficult decisions that benefit the organization.
- Analytical and motivational leadership with the ability to forecast economic changes and adapt accordingly.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
Work Environment
- Exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and high-pressure guest service environments.
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift and continuously move throughout casino areas.
- Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Manual dexterity required for operating computers and office equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform limited bending, reaching, and stooping.
