About the Role

The President of Chorus Community Health Plan is responsible for the overall performance and success of the organization’s health plan. This role directs the development and implementation of strategies and related business plans to ensure achievement of the health plan's goals and objectives while maintaining its financial health. The President collaborates and partners with leaders across the System to seek out opportunities to align System and health plan strategic initiatives, ensuring an integrated system of care. Additionally, this role establishes effective relationships with external stakeholders, including providers, government partners, community organizations, vendors, and members to fulfill the mission of the health plan.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the development and implementation of strategies and business plans to achieve the health plan’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with system leaders to align strategic initiatives and ensure an integrated system of care.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including providers, government partners, community organizations, vendors, and members.
  • Develop high-level strategic plans and implement operational structures to meet objectives.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams to support organizational success.
  • Communicate operational and strategic results and goals clearly and succinctly to executive leaders and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support teams and individual team members to drive success.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in a managed care or healthcare environment.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership responsibility in managed care operations.
  • Extensive experience with Medicaid programs, including their regulations, guidelines, and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and implement operational structures to meet objectives.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building effective teams and developing high-performing organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of current and future policies, practices, trends, technologies, and information affecting health systems, healthcare, and population health.
  • Experience in health plan operations.

  • Ability to work effectively with executive leaders from a variety of levels and functions within the health system.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills to interact with staff, administrators, medical staff, and employees at all levels.
