President
About the role
Army and Navy Academy is a college‑preparatory military boarding school for boys in grades 7‑12, located on a 16.5‑acre beachfront campus in Carlsbad, California. Founded in 1910, it is the only boarding‑day school on the West Coast that combines military‑style structure, leadership training, core character development, and a rigorous college‑preparatory curriculum meeting University of California admissions standards. The Academy serves approximately 290 cadets from 19 states and 11 countries, with a 12:1 student‑teacher ratio, a faculty averaging 6‑8 years of tenure (41% holding advanced degrees), and a commitment to the six core values of Honor, Integrity, Respect, Commitment, Gratitude, and Courage. The institution offers distinctive programs such as a four‑year aviation pathway with Embry‑Riddle Aeronautics University, a nationally ranked JROTC robotics team, and a popular culinary program, all supported by recent investments like the Duffield Sports Center and the Student Enrichment Center. The Academy seeks an authentic, innovative, and strategically minded President to lead its next chapter.
