President & CEO

About the role

Viability, Inc. is seeking a President & CEO to lead the nonprofit organization through its next phase of growth, innovation, and impact. The President & CEO reports to the Board of Directors and provides strategic, operational, and organizational leadership across a complex, multi‑state service delivery system serving more than 4,000 individuals annually in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen financial sustainability and diversify revenue resources.
• Expand services and partnerships across multiple states.
• Advance technology‑enabled improvements and unify operations.
• Cultivate organizational talent and develop a high‑performing, geographically dispersed team.
• Deepen relationships with funders, government agencies, employers, community partners, and the broader disability community.
• Provide visible, approachable, and authentic leadership that communicates clearly, builds trust, and works effectively with the governing board.
• Navigate varied regulatory and funding environments in the human‑services sector.

Qualifications

• Mission‑driven, strategic, and accomplished executive with significant leadership experience in a comparably complex organization.
• Strong financial management and operational capabilities.
• Experience overseeing multi‑state or multi‑jurisdictional operations, preferably in human services.
• Demonstrated ability to build alignment across geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience advancing technology‑enabled organizational improvement.
• Advanced degree preferred; equivalent executive experience will also be considered.
