Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Implement a child-centered curriculum that promotes active engagement, social-emotional development, and school readiness for all learners.
- Create a Supportive Learning Environment: Establish a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom with consistent routines and a print-rich environment that builds literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Individualize Learning Experiences: Use observations, assessments, and anecdotal notes to track progress and tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of children.
- Support Positive Behavior: Address challenging behaviors through observation, prevention strategies, skill-building, and family collaboration.
- Partner With Families: Build strong relationships with families to support children’s learning and development at home and in the classroom.
- Ensure Inclusion For All Learners: Integrate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to support children of all abilities.
- Maintain Compliance & Safety: Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times in accordance with Head Start and licensing requirements, including during meals, outdoor play, and field trips.
- Monitor And Analyze Outcomes: Conduct ongoing assessments and analyze child outcomes to inform instruction and improve classroom practices in partnership with leadership.
Requirements
- Education: P-3 Teacher Certification (CEAS or Standard) or a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with at least six (6) ECE courses.
- Experience: At least one (1) year of teaching experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of early childhood development and instructional strategies, effective communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Passport to Teaching (PTT) certification or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of physical exam and background checks.

Pay
$61,400 – $96,380 per year

Full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the students and families we serve.
