About the role

The Preschool Teacher - P-3 Certified supports early childhood education programs to create positive outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a child-centered curriculum and learning environment encouraging positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation.
  • Address challenging behaviors through observation, preventive measures, teaching new skills, and collaboration with families.
  • Create partnerships with families to establish positive interaction patterns.
  • Provide classroom experiences that are developmentally, linguistically, culturally, and age-appropriate.
  • Develop a print-rich environment promoting literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Plan daily lessons based on children's needs and interests, incorporating observations and curriculum materials.
  • Integrate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities.
  • Establish a consistent classroom routine and supervise children at all times.
  • Eat nutritious meals with children as a curriculum activity and model proper social skills.
  • Assess children on an ongoing basis, documenting progress and adjusting curriculum as necessary.

Requirements

  • P-3 Teacher Certification (CEAS or Standard).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with at least six (6) courses in ECE.
  • Physical exam and background checks required.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.

Pay

This is a 10-month position paying $59,127 to $73,575 annually depending on education and experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with 10 months of work per year.
