About the role

The Preschool Teacher - P-3 Certified supports early childhood education programs to create positive outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Implements a child-centered curriculum and learning environment encouraging positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation.
  • Addresses challenging behaviors through observation, preventive measures, teaching new skills, and partnership with families.
  • Uses observations and anecdotal notes to document progress and individualize curriculum.
  • Creates partnerships with families for positive interaction patterns in program, school, and home.
  • Provides classroom experiences that are developmentally, linguistically, culturally, and age-appropriate.
  • Develops a print-rich environment promoting literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Plans daily lessons based on children's needs and interests, incorporating observations and curriculum knowledge.
  • Integrates Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities.
  • Ensures a consistent classroom routine and supervises children's safety and security.
  • Supervises mealtime and outdoor activities, modeling good nutrition and social skills.
  • Assesses children on an ongoing basis, documenting progress and adjusting curriculum as necessary.

Requirements

  • P-3 Teacher Certification (CEAS or Standard).
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree.

Qualifications

  • Physical exam and background checks required.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
  • Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.

How Much

This is a 10-month position paying $59,127 to $73,575 annually based on education and experience.
