About the role
ECS4Kids is a leading provider of early childhood education and family support services. We offer a variety of programs designed to help children enter school ready to learn, focusing on areas such as motor development, cognitive development, social and emotional development, language and communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement a developmentally appropriate educational program using Teaching Strategies Cloud.
- Follow the approved daily schedule and daily lesson plans from the approved curricula.
- Lead learning times consistently with CLASS philosophy and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Individualize daily routines to meet the needs of each child.
- Conduct daily health checks and plan activities promoting a healthy lifestyle.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure parents sign the VPK Parental Choice Certificate monthly.
- Engage in research initiatives related to early childhood education.
- Communicate effectively with families through regular meetings, conferences, and home visits.
- Train and mentor Teacher Aides to create an appropriate classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and share information with colleagues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, DCF 45-hour training, and one of the following certifications:
- Teacher Aide - $16.59 CDA credential or a state-awarded certificate meeting CDA requirements, or enrolled in a program leading to CDA.
- Associate or Baccalaureate degree in ECE or related field, completed within two years of hire.
- Complete TB screening & physical, Food Handlers Course, First Aid, and CPR training.
- Pass a Level II Background Screening.

Pay
$16.59 - $18.44 per hour.
