Preschool Support Teacher

About the role

Supports the educational program for preschool children in a nurturing environment. Works closely with teachers and parents to ensure the best care and learning experiences for the children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities
• Provide daily supervision and care for children
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and needs
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• At least 1 year of relevant experience working with young children
• Valid Massachusetts Early Education and Development License (EEDDL)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to early childhood education principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with basic first aid and CPR

Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Knowledge of child development stages
