About the Role

As a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School, you will coordinate the daily operations of assigned classes. You will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment, working directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment.
• Coordinate daily operations of assigned classes.
• Observe children’s interests and collaborate with other teachers to develop engaging curriculum ideas.
• Communicate with parents daily about their children’s activities and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Engage with other childcare professionals to continue professional growth.
• Maintain professionalism in stressful situations while ensuring smooth school operations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. for child handling, safety, and emergency situations (for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, this includes properly lifting infants into and out of a crib).

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty.
• Meets background check eligibility requirements.
