About the role
As a PreK Group Teacher, you will drive our mission by organizing and facilitating daily activities, leading by example, prioritizing safety and joy, and maintaining effective communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, and encourage team collaboration and accountability.
- Organize and facilitate structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Prepare activities and curriculum aligned with the program’s objectives.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
- Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field OR Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 5 years old.
- Ability to meet New York State-specific requirements, including:
- First Aid and CPR in-person training.
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- Proof of MMR vaccination.
- 18+ years of age.
- Proof of High School diploma/GED.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Pay
$17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–8:30 AM and 2:30 PM–6:00 PM.
