Preschool Ed. Tech. III/BHP

About the role
We are hiring Educational Technician IIIs to work 1:1 with students, implementing plans that teach communication, social, emotional, cognitive, and self-help skills. Ed. Tech. IIIs collaborate with Special Education Teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists to support all aspects of children's development. Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) training is provided upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Work 1:1 with students diagnosed with Autism and Developmental Disorders in the preschool classroom setting.
- Teach targeted skills in communication, social interaction, play, emotional regulation, self-help/adaptive, and cognitive skills.
- Implement educational and behavioral treatment plans throughout the school day.
- Assist in tasks required to manage the classroom environment and promote student learning.
- Collect and record data on progress and complete required paperwork to document services daily.
- Collaborate with BCBAs, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists around interventions, progress, and ongoing challenges.
- Participate in regular supervision and debriefing meetings (both team and individual).
Requirements
- Must have, or be eligible for, Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III certification by having earned a bachelor's degree (preferred) or a minimum of 90 college credits (required).

Pay
$20.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience and other job criteria.
Schedule
Full-time position spanning the regular school year. Schedule: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
