Prepress Technician

About the role

The Prepress Department is key in delivering exceptional design to our customers. Prepress encompasses using professional prepress and imaging software to design publications, create graphics, and prepare publications for production on conventional offset or digital printing presses and/or copiers and printers.

Responsibilities

• Design publications and create graphics using professional prepress and imaging software.
• Prepare publications for production on offset or digital printing presses.

Requirements

• 2- or 4-year trade school degree acceptable; college/university degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in prepress, including both hardware and software in macOS and/or Windows networked environments.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Word, Excel, and Publisher.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat production plug-ins (Enfocus, Quite) is a plus.
• Experience with personalized database printing (variable data printing) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of HTML, Java/JavaScript, and web development is a plus.
