About The Venue

The Arvest Convention Center, located in the Arena District in downtown Tulsa, is a modern and award-winning venue providing over 275,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Owned by the City of Tulsa for over 50 years, the ACC has hosted every kind of event imaginable and proudly serves the citizens of Tulsa and guests from around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests.
  • Operate standard kitchen utensils and equipment in the concession stands in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements.
  • Participate as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service, and delivery of product.
  • Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
  • Understand and follow guidelines set by OVG and the Health Department by maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests.
  • Take pride as a cook, resolve issues, and assist co-workers as needed.
  • Meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications

  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.

Pay

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00 to $15.00.
