Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Steward Duties:
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and work areas.
- Operate dish machines, glass washers, and cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist in waste removal, recycling, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Support kitchen readiness by ensuring all stations are stocked with clean wares and supplies.
- Prep Cook Duties:
- Assist chefs and line cooks with basic food preparation including washing, chopping, portioning, and labeling ingredients.
- Set up prep stations and stock with necessary supplies for daily operations.
- Follow safe food handling and sanitation practices at all times.
- Assist with banquet and event preparation, including bulk portioning and setup.
- Support new dish rollouts and menu tastings as directed by the culinary team.
Qualifications
- Previous stewarding or prep cook experience preferred, but training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.
- Able to take direction, follow procedures, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work in hot and wet environments.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
