Prentiss Reman Cylinder Pack Assembly II (2nd shift)

About the role

Caterpillar Remanufacturing is seeking an Assembly II position in the Booneville, MS facility. The position involves assembling components with increasing complexity and/or variation, adhering to contamination control guidelines, and performing quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality-focused team environment to perform various assembly processes.
• Knowledge and adherence to contamination control guidelines.
• Print reading skills and quality checks, as defined by standard work.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gages, hoists, presses, and other tools as necessary.
• May require cross training in other positions up to and including Salary Grade 3.
• Follow production schedules and utilize various computer systems including MES, BIQ, Pinpoint, and Epix to reference work instructions, prints, and perform data entry.
• Maintain attention to detail and be self-motivated.
• Work in an environment without close supervision.

Requirements

• Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data).
• Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc).
• 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Knowledge of engines and components.
• Prior use of hoists.
• Print reading experience.
• Basic assembly training or engine/component assembly experience or engine mechanic experience.

Qualifications

Benefits

• Starting hourly pay rate of $18.35 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience).
• 2nd shift with an additional 7% night shift premium.
• 80 hours of vacation with an additional 3 days (hours dependent on work schedule) of Paid Time Off (PTO) (all prorated based on hire date).

• Paid holiday shut down at the end of the year (dependent upon business needs).

Pay

$18.35 - $23.85 per hour.

Schedule

2nd shift with a start time of 3pm and an end time of 1am, Monday - Thursday, 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime.
