2nd Shift - Assembler/Packer

About the role

Perform a wider variety of repetitive assembly of the company’s products into complete packages and/or sub-assemblies per engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Selects, inspects, assembles and/or packages product for final shipment to customer.
• Applies labels and palletizes per specifications.
• Inspects and maintains workplace for compliance with safety requirements.
• Corrects any safety issue prior to performing operations.
• Requisitions packaging material from warehouse, when necessary.
• Inspects material for shipping damage and/or supplier defects.
• Inspects product per finished goods inspection procedure.
• Informs Team Leader of any component that needs to be reworked or scrapped.
• Certifies that each product has completed Quality Assurance processes via Quality stamp.
• Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school, GED, or equivalent education required.
• Minimum of 3 years working in a Manufacturing/Industrial or related environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications to properly select parts.
• Capable of using measuring devices to perform product inspection.
• Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.
