Prenatal Educator

About the role

A passionate educator with extensive knowledge of childbirth and perinatal topics, responsible for facilitating virtual and in-person prenatal classes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate prenatal classes including Preparing for Childbirth, Breastfeeding Basics, Newborn Care, and Preparing for Postpartum.
• Occasionally participate in Prenatal Educator and general instructor meetings.
• Stay updated on relevant trainings and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Opportunities for special projects such as curriculum or resource development.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience teaching classes or conducting training programs for groups or individuals.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a healthcare environment or similar field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Counseling, Education, Psychology, Nursing, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in health-related education or a directly related field, or six (6) years of experience in health-related education or a directly related field.
• Certified Lactation Consultant certification preferred.
• Certified Childbirth Educator certification preferred.
