About the Venue

The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space, and an arena-view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men’s and Women’s basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena is also frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the VIP lobby for use; this could include but not limited to wiping down countertops, looking for potential hazards, reporting any issues to a supervisor
• When gates open, welcome patrons with a great smile and helpful attitude
• Scan event tickets, ensuring that the proper ticket is being used to gain entry
• Aid patrons in locating their suite or club
• Be alert and proactive to potential hazards and report incidents when they occur
• Maintain awareness of assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our fans
• Respond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and in a professional manner
• Aid guests to help accommodate their ADA-accessible needs
• Enforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests
• Manage the foot traffic flow within the lobby
• Be knowledgeable about arena emergency evacuation plan to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• A customer service first mentality and love working with and helping people
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• A positive attitude while handling difficult situations
• Availability to work most home basketball games
• Weekend availability is needed
