Premium Billing and Enrollment Coordinator

About the role
The Premium Billing and Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance of enrollments and the billing processes in accordance with contracts, member certificates, and regulatory entities. This role handles the daily processing of individual and business enrollments, ensuring timely and accurate entry and receipt of all required documentation. The coordinator researches and resolves billing variances to maintain system accuracy, addresses questions and issues, and provides detailed information on requirements to internal and external customers. Additional duties include processing and mailing member letters, running ad hoc discrepancy reports, and performing other assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Process daily individual and business enrollments, ensuring accuracy and timely entry.
- Research and resolve billing variances to maintain system accuracy.
- Handle inquiries, issues, and provide detailed information to internal and external customers regarding enrollment processes, eligibility, and data verification.
- Process and mail letters to members for various reasons.
- Run and analyze daily ad hoc discrepancy reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and a positive, professional relationship with internal staff, clients, members, and vendors.
- Demonstrate analytical ability in processing electronic enrollment files and assimilate large amounts of information.
- Exercise good judgment in determining the best methods for solving problems.
- Maintain current billing processes and ensure accuracy of members' accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients promptly and accurately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in health insurance or a similar industry, including enrollment and eligibility, preferred.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong drive for results and accountability.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Skilled in problem identification and resolution.
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to investigate and problem-solve.

Pay
Salary range: $16.00 - $25.50 per hour
